Solomon Law & Consulting P.L.L.C. was founded by Steven N. Solomon.  Besides being an attorney he is also a licensed Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in New York.

 

Dr. Solomon received his undergraduate degree in Computer Science before going on to graduate with a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine.  Postgraduate training was done at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Washington D.C., with rotations at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

 

Dr. Solomon practiced Podiatric Medicine within New York City for a number of years before then enrolling at Brooklyn Law School where he received his Juris Doctorate degree.

 

After law school, Dr. Solomon worked at various law firms representing the interests of the clients he was assigned to.  For almost a decade this consisted of defending physicians, hospitals and other medical facilities.  Most of this work consisted of writing motions, conducting depositions and appearing in Court to further the defense of the client.

 

One of the law firms that Dr. Solomon worked for conducted hearings for the City of New York and the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation.  Dr. Solomon handled many of these personally where under sworn testimony he would obtain the facts of the incident as known to the deposed.

 

Throughout the years Dr. Solomon has retained his Podiatric Medical License even though he was working as an attorney.  He also kept up with the advances in the “digital era” in not just the technical arena but also the legal forum.

 

In the past few years there has been an increased interest in the public at large with Privacy and Security.  For many professions though, like attorneys and physicians, there is an obligation to safeguard not just their files (paper and electronic) but also their communications.  For those in health care they must comply with numerous HIPAA regulations while attorneys need to comply with the New York Rules of Professional Conduct.

 

Dr. Solomon’s unique background enables him work with individuals in protecting sensitive information as he has knowledge of various fields.   This can take the form of a Privacy Policy for businesses along with a Mobile Device Policy.  Should the sensitive information somehow become exposed there are certain steps that need to be taken, with some of these mandated by the law.
